Building Maintenance and Electrical

Our building and electrical division offers a broad range of services for one-off and regular requirements. Our fully trained and appropriately registered employees ensure works are carried out to the highest professional standard.

We work with many housing associations, schools and commercial clients providing services ranging from regular gas and electricity inspections, general repairs to full refurbishments.

Carpentry

1st fix and 2nd fix all aspects of general carpentry including repairs to locks, doors and windows, fencing, bathroom and kitchen fittings.

Painting & Decorating

We offer a fully comprehensive painting & decorating service for Offices, Commercial premises and residential properties including spray applications, papering and muraspec.

Plumbing & Heating

CP12 gas checks, general services (Gas Safe) heating and bathroom installations and boiler repairs.

Electrical Services

Periodic Inspections & Test Reports

A periodic inspection of a typical house takes a few hours with minimum interruption of electrical supply with access only required to electrical accessories (socket outlets, light switches fuse boxes etc) . On completion of the testing and inspection Chequers client will receive a periodic test certificate and a report in non technical language accompanied with relevant photographs. If any remedial work is required then this will outlined in report, a code 1 defect requires immediate action whereas a code 2 fault can be resolved on a slightly less imperative timescale.

PAT Testing

When people work with electrical appliances, health and safety regulations state that the appliance must be safe, to prevent harm to the workers. Many types of equipment require testing at regular intervals to ensure continual safety; the interval between tests depending on both the type of appliance and the environment it is used in. You will be provided with certification of all works.

Evidence of testing is clearly visible to workers in the form of 'Passed', 'Tested For Electrical Safety' and 'DO NOT USE after' labels affixed to various parts of the electrical equipment they use.

Landlord checks & Certification

Periodic Inspection Reports - safety certificates for gas and electric.

Roofing & Guttering

Re-roofing, general repairs including felt roofs, lead work, acrypol systems and slate & concrete tiles. Installation of new guttering and all general repair works.

Plastering & Tiling

Drylining and rendering, General repairs, complete applications.

Brickwork

All aspects of general building works and repairs, block work and concrete repairs.

Commercial & residential properties.

Partitioning

Stud, block & brick walls, commercial & residential. Installation, removal, repositioning and repairs. Metal office Systems and suspended ceilings.

Drainage

We have two dedicated vehicles providing our clients with a one-stop drainage solution service including but not limited to drain rodding, high pressure water jetting, excavation works, CCTV surveys (with full reports and DVD), tank cleaning and drain testing.
We can repair most drains at the minimum expense and disruption using the latest lining techniques, however when full excavation works are needed we aim to carry these out quickly, safely and within the same day.
